Having being shortlisted for the second year in a row, this year, Adoré on Oliver Plunkett St. has brought home the trophy after being awarded the IBPA (Irish Beauty Professional Association) Best Beauty Salon 2009.

Considered to be one of the most prestigious events in the Irish beauty calendar, the IBPA awards are the Oscars of the beauty industry honouring the crème de la crème¨me of the Beauty salon and Spa sectors. Adoré was honoured to be the only salon from Cork to have been nominated for such an award in their category and thrilled to be the category winner.

Through three rigorous tests, the salons are put through their paces for a chance to win this coveted award. Along with their initial entry, the salon's ongoing business plan is presented for judging. The next test is in the form of a 'mystery shopper' , who attends the salon and receives a treatment. Finally, a judge plans a visit to the salon for a day, where the premises and salon protocols are inspected, and the judge receives the salons signature treatment. From this intense judging, Adoré and only 3 other salons in Ireland were shortlisted for this category.

Further reflecting the expertise and professionalism of the salon, Adoré was also proud to have two of their facial therapists shortlisted for Facial Therapist of the Year. 'I am just so delighted with the nominations and the award! I'm so happy for the salon and my staff to get the recognition they deserve for all of the hard work and passion they bring to the job on a daily basis' commented Anne-Marie O'Sullivan, owner of Adoré.
